Princess

November 21, 2008 by sarah hodsdon

My daughter is a true princess through and through. She loves pink, anything sparkly, tiaras, and dresses. She is completely the girl I never was. Awhile back I scored some wonderful trinkets from Imaginisce that were designed specifically with my daughter in mind (okay, that was a stretch… every little girl in mind). I LOVED the fact that this line is so versatile. Many times, cute princess type things get typecast into a specific role- they are either for birth announcements or little girl birthday parties. This line, although it is perfect for either event, I found could be completely cool for bridal showers, engagement parties, graduations, quince or sweet 16 parties and any number of other interesting things as well. Having rediscovered this line in my own personal stash inspired me to rethink the wonderful Christmas gifts I will be making. I snagged this picture from the gallery over at Imaginisce to inspire you!

I used to scrapbook all the time, every chance I got, still have about a million dollars worth of stuff. Seems like time is the enemy when it comes to crafts, and knitting and spinning have taken over.
I love the pink sparkly stuff, my twin granddaughters, well one of them, would have loved this image, the other was more about being outside and getting dirty. Alas, they are “all grown up now” (almost 11) and now instead of pink sparkles there are BOYS!!
Your post has inspired me to get out my stuff and start again, thank you for that!

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook Album

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook Album

Niella used the Color Me Crafty collection from Doodlebug to create this adorable crafty themed mini album. The cover and each page are shaped like giant tickets and there’s a disc binding on the edges and fun dangling charm hanging on the spine. The cover has a cute stack of Polaroids accent and a layered scalloped border with button pattern paper.

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook AlbumInside she used more crafty pattern papers, embellishments, stickers, cardstock, puffy words and more to designs wonderful pages that have lots of room for crafty photos and journaling.

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook AlbumThere’s even a pocket to tuck in mementos and ephemera. I love the color scheme of this collection, it’s so bright and cheerful! This little album project is perfect for all your memories of going to scrapbooking classes, crops, conventions, retreats, hanging out crafting with friends or pics of your craft room.

Visit the Doodlebug blog to learn more about this project and watch a flip through video.
