National Day of Scrapbooking

May 5, 2007 by

Today is that day, [tag]National Day of Scrapbooking[/tag], and there is so much going on for it. The internet is buzzing with activity, free stuff, discounts, and more.If you have not been exploring the net for a while, today is the day.

The first find I have for you is from [tag]Creating Keepsakes Scrapbooking Mag[/tag]. They have a free digital kit, two free fonts, a contest giving away a bunch of organizational stuff for your [tag]scrapbooking[/tag], and a great sale. I highly recommend you check them out. I especially recommend the [tag]digital scrapbooking[/tag] kit. It is beautiful.

[tag]Two Peas in a Bucket[/tag] is also offering some great deals today. They have hourly discounts going on. They are also giving away free prizes. You need to be checking them out also.

Well, this is it for the moment if I find more today I will let you know.

After reviewing Craftgossip. I’m of the opinion this quality website should register to be on Scrapbookingtop50.com and will be at the top100 sites, in a very short period of time.

80’s Inspired Boombox Shaped Mini Album

I was a teen in the 80’s so this totally rad Boombox shaped mini album from Traci really speaks to me! She created a rectangle shaped black acrylic album with rounded corners, adding buttons and a handle on the top with a cover decorated to look like a real boombox with speakers, a tape deck, buttons and more. She used the Totally 80’s collection of products from Simple Stories that has lots of bright pink and teal colors with cool 80’s inspired patterns like black and white check and colorful graphics. There’s also load of fun embellishments like a Walkman, high top sneakers, retro TV, camera, hair spray can and more.

I had huge hair in the 80’s and am embarrassed to admit how much Aquanet hair spray I used!

Traci has included her totally tubular signature flaps and pockets in the album too for some radical interactive elements too.

Visit the Artsy Album blog to learn more about this bodacious mini album project.
