Freebie Friday – Free Printable Vintage French Junk Journal Images

February 27, 2026 by Shellie Wilson

It’s Freebie Friday and I am ridiculously excited about this one.

If you love printable junk journal ephemera, vintage French invoices, antique advertisements, and those soft sepia collage papers that make your pages look like they’ve lived a hundred beautiful years… you’re going to want both of these sheets.

This week’s Freebie Friday – Junk Journal Images collection includes two coordinating A4 printable sheets filled with:

  • Vintage French receipts and invoices
    • Old-fashioned advertisements
    • Antique labels and tickets
    • Soft neutral ephemera cards
    • Classic sepia typography
    • Elegant florals and decorative borders

They’re designed to feel like you’ve just uncovered a forgotten stationery drawer in a Parisian boutique.

And yes — they are completely free to download and print.

Don’t forget to check out our other Freebie Friday Junk Journal printables too — new designs are added every week and the collection is growing fast.

What’s Included in This Week’s Free Junk Journal Printables

You’ll receive two full A4 printable junk journal sheets, each filled with carefully spaced vintage ephemera pieces that are easy to cut and layer.

Sheet One – French Invoices & Advertisements

This sheet leans heavily into:

  • Antique French business receipts
    • Vintage apothecary-style labels
    • Old ticket stubs
    • Elegant serif typography
    • Faded cream and sepia tones

These are perfect for creating authentic-looking junk journal collage pages, layering behind photos, or tucking into belly bands.

The larger invoice pieces are ideal as background anchors on a page, while the smaller tickets and labels are perfect for those little layered clusters we all love to build.

How to Print/Download – Right click to save the file and then print the image.

Sheet Two – Floral French Ephemera & Labels

This one is softer and slightly more romantic.

You’ll find:

  • Vintage perfume labels
    • Soap and apothecary-style tags
    • Floral journal cards
    • Old price labels and catalogue snippets
    • A mix of rectangles, ovals, and tag shapes

These work beautifully in:

  • Shabby chic junk journals
    • Cottagecore layouts
    • Vintage recipe journals
    • Bible journaling
    • Handmade cards
    • Snail mail embellishments

I especially love pairing a floral label over one of the more neutral invoice backgrounds from sheet one. Instant layered depth without overthinking it.

How to Print Your Junk Journal Images

These sheets are formatted for A4 paper (210mm x 297mm).

How to Print/Download Right click to save the file and then print the image.

For best results:

  • Print at 100% scale (do not “fit to page”)
    • Use the highest quality print setting
    • Choose matte paper for a vintage feel
    • Use lightweight cardstock if you prefer sturdier tags

If you love making stickers for layering, you can also print them onto ready-made printable sticker paper — just print, cut, and peel. It saves the glue stick mess (which, let’s be honest, sometimes ends up everywhere except the back of the paper).

Easy Ways to Use These Vintage Ephemera Printables

If you’re staring at the sheet thinking, “They’re pretty… now what?” here are some ideas:

1. Build Layered Clusters

Start with a large invoice piece. Add a smaller label on top. Then tuck a ticket slightly underneath. A bit of twine or a tiny staple and you’ve got instant texture.

2. Create Faux Pockets

Glue down three edges of a large invoice and slide smaller tickets inside. It adds interaction to your page.

3. Make Flip-Out Journal Spots

Attach one side with washi tape so it opens like a door. Write behind it.

4. Add to Planner Pages

These vintage junk journal images look beautiful layered into monthly spreads — especially neutral planners.

5. Use as Card Fronts

Several pieces are sized perfectly to mount onto folded cardstock for instant vintage greeting cards.

Why Vintage French Ephemera Works So Well in Junk Journals

There’s something about old typography, faded florals, and antique-style receipts that feels comforting.

It tells a story before you even write one.

For many of us, junk journaling isn’t about perfection. It’s about texture, memory, layering, and the quiet satisfaction of creating something by hand. These printable junk journal essentials give you that aged aesthetic without having to tea-stain half your craft room.

Although… if you want to tea-stain them, I fully support that too.

Start Your Freebie Friday Collection

This is just the beginning.

Freebie Friday – Junk Journal Images will feature a brand new printable sheet every week. Some weeks will lean more floral, some more typography-heavy, some themed (sewing, garden, faith, retro kitchen — I have plans).

So make sure you bookmark this series and check back every Friday for a new printable junk journal digital download.

And if you use these in your journal, I’d love to know — are you layering them? Turning them into pockets? Making mini envelopes?

Tell me how you’re using them. I’m always looking for new ideas.

Now go print, cut, and create something beautiful.
