Jenni Hufford shares a tutorial on the Elle’s Studio blog for making faux Instax photos. She also includes a code for 20% off prints from Mpix, where you can print the mini wallet sized photos used in the tutorial. The code is valid until July 29th 2011.This is a fun way to get your photos off your camera, and use them in a fun mini book or scrapbook page.

I was a teen in the 80’s so this totally rad Boombox shaped mini album from Traci really speaks to me! She created a rectangle shaped black acrylic album with rounded corners, adding buttons and a handle on the top with a cover decorated to look like a real boombox with speakers, a tape deck, buttons and more. She used the Totally 80’s collection of products from Simple Stories that has lots of bright pink and teal colors with cool 80’s inspired patterns like black and white check and colorful graphics. There’s also load of fun embellishments like a Walkman, high top sneakers, retro TV, camera, hair spray can and more.
I had huge hair in the 80’s and am embarrassed to admit how much Aquanet hair spray I used!
Traci has included her totally tubular signature flaps and pockets in the album too for some radical interactive elements too.
