Two Peas in a Bucket, the pioneer website for scrapbooking, recently announced its closing, after serving the scrapbooking community for 15 years. The site and store are open until July 10th with some restrictions. You can still access the gallery, if you wish to save any content there. They are holding a closing down sale with savings up to 70%. The message board can still be viewed, but all the threads are locked. Winter is finally here and the Holidays are wrapping up so hopefully we’ll get some free time to head outdoors and enjoy the Wintery weather. Maybe build a snowman, go skiing or sledding, take a stroll through the snowy woods with the dog and even some not so fun tasks like shoveling the driveway but no matter what you do be sure to snap lots of photos to then come inside, warm up and create wonderful Winter scrapbook layouts! Let’s take a look at some fabulous ideas for a bit of inspiration.

Kim used burlap for the base, behind the photo and hemp twine for a big bow to add a rustic touch to this darling layout. This awesome ski lodge layout from Andrea was created with fussy cut buildings and trees to create the lodge scene with tiny polka dot blue paper for the sky. She also created a thick lacey, scalloped border from green pattern paper and added labels for journaling, a puffy sticker title and some sentiment strips. Nathalie added loads of dimension and texture to her snowflake layout with stamping and heat embossing. The background has subtle clear embossing with some white and gold paint splatter and the falling flakes are embossed in gold and pink then die cut. One of the best times to get out and play is when the kids are home from school for a snow day! This layout captures all the fun with three panels of layered pattern papers and behind the photos too. This photo isn’t outdoors but this lovely layout was too pretty not to include. Tai used so many circles punched from blue and silver winter themed papers to form a frame around the edge.
