  1. I scrapbook because I just can’t stand plain old photo albums. I love making things pretty, and I love color and pattern and how all of it fits together to make a beautiful page to go with a beautiful picture and moment.

  3. For me it’s because I love pictures. I started collecting scrapbook paper about 5 years before I ever gave thought to scrapbooking. I love the patterened papers and creating things that really preserve our memories beautiful.

  4. I love scrapbooking because I enjoy finding new ways to express my creativity. I also like being able to take a photo and expand on it, by finding paper and embellishments that create a story. I think every part of scrapbooking, from taking the initial picture to adding the final touches on a page, is fun!

80’s Inspired Boombox Shaped Mini Album

I was a teen in the 80’s so this totally rad Boombox shaped mini album from Traci really speaks to me! She created a rectangle shaped black acrylic album with rounded corners, adding buttons and a handle on the top with a cover decorated to look like a real boombox with speakers, a tape deck, buttons and more. She used the Totally 80’s collection of products from Simple Stories that has lots of bright pink and teal colors with cool 80’s inspired patterns like black and white check and colorful graphics. There’s also load of fun embellishments like a Walkman, high top sneakers, retro TV, camera, hair spray can and more. 

I had huge hair in the 80’s and am embarrassed to admit how much Aquanet hair spray I used!

Traci has included her totally tubular signature flaps and pockets in the album too for some radical interactive elements too.
