I recently had the chance to try out the new Expression Photo XP-15000 printer from Epson and wow, was I blown away by the quality of photos and papers I printed! Many times in the past I’ve been a bit frustrated at not always having my photos print out looking as great as they do on my computer or smartphone but I feel like the Expression gave me really professional looking photos.
The Expression is a wide-format printer that can print borderless photos up to 13″x19″ and uses six color ink cartridges including new gray and red for a wide color range. It has a front paper cassette that will adjust to hold papers from 4″x6″ to 8.5″x14″ and large rear media tray for larger papers up to 13″x19″ so that means, yes scrapbookers, we can print out full size 12″x 12″ page layouts ( to note: 12×12 will not be borderless). The Expression can not only print on glossy and photo paper but a variety of other specialty mediums like matte papers and cardstock, semi gloss and can even print on CDs and envelopes. I love being able to print envelopes, this will be so handy for mailing my Holiday cards this year!
One of the things I love best about this printer is its size, it’s smaller and lighter weight than other large scale printers I’ve used, it’s actually 30% smaller than its predecessor. And it was simple and quick to set up, the color LCD screen makes it easy to set up and navigate and I was printing pictures in no time of getting it out of the box. I was also impressed with the speed of printing, even large papers printed really quickly. With the wireless feature you can print from your computer or laptop and with Epson Connect you can even print directly from tablets and smartphones too, how cool is that!?
I wanted to create some projects with the Expression so first I put together a digital quick page scrapbook layout (show ablove) for some of my Beauty and the Beast photos from Disney World. I printed it on Epson Premium Glossy Photo Paper and was thrilled with how it came out, all the details are so sharp it looks like a page with depth and dimension but it’s just a single printed sheet.
Next I wanted to try printing something more than photos so I printed out a teal and gold fish scale digital pattern paper, the texture and glitter look so real but it’s printed! For a more traditional scrapbook layout I used my printed pattern paper on a double page spread for some of my Little Mermaid photos from Disney. The pattern paper and photos on these layouts were both printed on Premium Glossy Photo Paper from Epson as well.
And lastly I wanted to keep it simple and print a large photo of myself and my husband in front of Hogwarts Castle at the Wizarding World at Universal Studios to frame for our living room. It looks like a professionally printed photo!
As you can probably tell I’m working on getting photos from our theme park trips to Orlando scrapbooked and I’m super excited to be able to quickly print lots of gorgeous photos for this and many other future scrapbooking projects with the Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Printer from Epson!
I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about the Expression Photo HD XP-15000 Printer from Epson. If you’re a scrapbooker or just someone who loves printing photos at home I think the Expression will be the perfect thing to ask Santa for this year! For more information click here to visit the Epson website.

Thanks for this review! I have the Epson 15000, and am looking forward to using it for scrapbooking. I’m wondering if you could share what software you use to create such amazing digital scrapbook pages? I’ve tried a few things and haven’t found anything that easily makes pages as amazing as your Beauty and the Beast page! I’ve tried looking thru your blog, and couldn’t find anything that recommended software to make the digital pages.

Branda- I used pages from EZ Scrapbooks for the Beauty and the Beast page, here’s my review for them: https://scrapbooking.craftgossip.com/product-review-ez-scrapbooks-with-a-discount-code/2018/09/02/
