One of the hottest color combinations recently for Valentine’s Day is Red and Pink, you can use them on their own for monochromatic designs or use them together for a bold mix of colors. They both pair well with other colors, especially trendy colors like teal or accent them with simple black and white. You can use red and pink in bright bold tones, or softer pastel hues too to invoke different feelings. So today let’s dive into some amazing Valentine’s Day scrapbook layouts that focus on Red and Pink for some inspiration.

Inessa perfectly combined red and pink on this sweet layout. She create a row of three rectangle of pattern paper across the center, adding the photo in the middle and embellishments on the others. There’s also a fun flag swag made of pattern papers, a die cut “Hello” title and some typed journaling on the solid white background. Find all the details at the Bella Blvd. blog.
Here’s a terrific example from Niki how red and pink work with other colors, this time teal and orange for a bright and cheerful page. She used die cut hearts cut from coordinating pattern papers laid in a grid pattern, adding photos, embellishments, words and journaling over top of each different heart. This red blocks layout from Lara is a wonderful way to use up lots of scraps of pattern papers and cardstock. She staggered the blocks, added a place for a photo with journaling underneath, tucked a die cut floral sprig behind it as well as a skinny title with a 1/2 doily behind. Did I mention pink and red are popular with teal? Here’s another sweet example on a double page spread from Tarrah. She used softer colors mixed with pops of brighter tones on her Mason Jar die filled with hearts, cute pre-printed embellishments, her sentiments and to back her photo. Here’s another mostly red and pink design but also with a little teal, this time from Melissa. She cut and distressed long rectangles of pattern paper, layering and stitching them to her layout for lots of texture. She also added rows of hearts, tabs and a title created with stamped and die cut letters, some also sewn on. I came across her idea on the Elle’s Studio Instagram page.
Deborah Kozlovic created a beautiful wreath of hearts cut from papers in red and pink with some black and white for a terrific mix of patterns surrounding the photo spot. Smaller hearts and little sentiments are also dotted around. Notice how she drew around each heart with a thin black marker for more definition. This pretty layout uses several different shades of pinks in a fade down the page behind a large heart cut out. The heart’s been stitched along the edge and there loads of fun embellishments clustered around the cute photo, again with some pops of teal. Sheena create a wonderful border of hanging hearts using a double layer of dies, inking the backing die in pink ink, gluing on lots of fun sequins and then adding the top layer cut from white.
