Picture Organization

May 19, 2007 by Heather Holbrook

I am back. I am so sorry. It has been one hectic week. My daughters are done with dance for the summer and now we look to the end of school and give a collective sign of relief. If I have not mentioned before I homeschool our eldest daughter and we are both ready for a break.

Anyway on to the [tag]scrapbooking[/tag] scene, I received a newsletter from one of my favorite scrapbooking gurus. Her name is [tag]Tasra Dawson[/tag]. Her site is [tag]Real Women Scrap[/tag]. I am sure I have mentioned her before, but she is definitely worth mentioning again. If you are not signed up for her newsletter, you should be. She even has her own TV show now.

I thought I would make mention of one thing from her newsletter. It is an e-book she is offering for free. It is about organizing your pictures. It is called Get It Together! How to Organize Your Pictures. I have linked you to it. I hope you check it out. She definitely knows her stuff. She is worth listening to.

So glad you enjoyed the newsletter and are watching the show! I love filming it every week. Check in this Wednesday for a great Father’s Day project! Fun stuff.

Thanks again for the shout-out. Keep scrappin!

I tried checking out the book but the site wouldn’t load for me. Maybe it is not Mac-friendly. I tell you, that BA degree in museum studies has really helped me with the photo organization! I used a modified museum archive numbering system and it works great.

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook Album

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook Album

Niella used the Color Me Crafty collection from Doodlebug to create this adorable crafty themed mini album. The cover and each page are shaped like giant tickets and there’s a disc binding on the edges and fun dangling charm hanging on the spine. The cover has a cute stack of Polaroids accent and a layered scalloped border with button pattern paper.

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook AlbumInside she used more crafty pattern papers, embellishments, stickers, cardstock, puffy words and more to designs wonderful pages that have lots of room for crafty photos and journaling.

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook AlbumThere’s even a pocket to tuck in mementos and ephemera. I love the color scheme of this collection, it’s so bright and cheerful! This little album project is perfect for all your memories of going to scrapbooking classes, crops, conventions, retreats, hanging out crafting with friends or pics of your craft room.

Visit the Doodlebug blog to learn more about this project and watch a flip through video.
