Organization, organization, organization

March 8, 2007 by

I have scrapbooked again.

It feels so good to just be able to pull out the scissors, paper, tape, stickers, and stuff and make
family memories come to life.

I am working on a book about family members right now. I started it
a while ago, but just did not have time there for a time. I just made it a priority last night
and put everything else aside to do it.
It was so much fun.

It took a bit of organizing at the very beginning. It amazes me how I get
everything organized, thoughts, tools, and pictures, then when you have to step away for a time,
all that planning is gone. You do not have a clue why things are in the order they are. Why you were
thinking of do things in that way. You just think to yourself, “What the heck is all this?!”

I finally got myself organized and got to scrapping. To be honest, it took me a whole lot long to get organized than I actually scrapbooked. I only got one page done, but I loved doing it. I am going to
attach it at the bottom I hope you enjoy it.

I am also providing you with some links on how to get organized. It is always nice when your stuff
is all organized to begin with. It does actually make the whole process easier.
If you have any great organization ideas, please send them in. I would love to hear them.

And keep scrappin!!!

That’s a beautiful page! I have several scrapbooking pages waiting for me when things settle down.

What a beautiful scrapbook page! I read about how you spent more time on organizing then you got to spend on scrapbooking and I have to admit I’ve done the same thing. When I scrapbook I tend to be messy. All right, more like a tornado than just messy. But, I did come up with a little something that helped my out. I now organize my things in “assignments.” I first start with my pens, for example, and I completley organize them to my liking. I then move on to something else, like stickers. In between each “assignment”, I allow myslef to create one scrapbook page before I move on to the next “assignment.” I’ve found that by doig it this way, it doesn’t seem like I’m taking that much time to organize. At the end of the night, I have organized at least the majority of my supplies and have also created some scrapbook pages as well.

    Debra,
Thank you! I really enjoyed making it.
Your suggestion on organization is great. I am always looking at the mountain and feeling the need to conquer the whole thing instead of taking it step by step. I really appreciate your approach. A little work with a reward. Let me know any other great ideas you might have.
