Digi Kit Review and Giveaway!

February 17, 2009 by Francine Clouden

Jodi Watson has created an adorable digital scrapbooking kit called Oh Boy! I have heard many mothers of boys saying that there aren’t enough boy themed products available, so this kit definitely fits a need. As an about to be mother of a boy myself, I am happy to see this cute kit!

Here is a preview

The kit is chock full with 12 patterned papers, as well as numerous generic and boy themed embellishments, including a plane, a frog and a dragonfly. Because the kit contains elements like frames, a journaling spot, ribbons and borders, it’s versatile enough to use for other masculine styled projects, without having too boyish a look (Father’s Day pages come to mind).

I played with the kit and was able to pull together this digital birth annoucement really quickly.

I can see this kit coming in handy in the future! I love that tree embellishment and am already planning a project using it once my baby boy is here.

Jodi’s kits are available for purchase at the following sites, and can be used with either Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

Digi Scrap Station
Do it Digi
Michelle’s Angels

But I did mention a giveaway didn’t I? Jodi has generously donated a copy of the kit to one lucky Craft Gossip reader. Here is how you can enter:

1. Leave a comment telling me what you think about the kit, and whether you do any digital or hybrid scrapbooking
2. For a second (or third!) entry Tweet about the giveaway or post about it on Facebook and leave a comment with a link to your profile so I can see where you posted about the giveaway.
Comments will remain open until Friday February 20th at midnight EST. Good luck!

I’ve been scrapbooking (the creative way) for 10 years as of February 20th!!

My grandson is 3 years old and I have all of his photos digitally stored on a hard drive where he can’t enjoy them. I’d like to give hybrid scrapbooking a try and this kit would be perfect to do his baby album. He’s computer savvy enough that he could probably help me.

I think the kit is really cute! I have been doing the old style scrapbooking for a while. After I use up all my paper, I’m going to look into digital scrapbooking. I would love to win this so I can get going with it! I left a message on my twitter account also. mejones06

The kit is wonderfully whimsical! I’ve never tried digital scrapbooking but want to start, since I’m recovering from a broken wrist and surgery, which makes traditional scrapping a bit difficult!

I love it! The colors, orange and blue my favorite together! I mostly a traditional scrapper but would love to try digital. I have a boy as well and it is hard to find boy themed items for scrapping! Thanks for the chance!

I have been scrapbooking for quite some time now. I have done 1 digital scrapbook and really enjoyed it. I would love to do more of them. So many of my girlfriends are having baby boys and this kit looks like it would be perfect for a new baby boy! If I won, I’d have trouble deciding which baby to scrapbook! 🙂

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook Album

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook Album

Niella used the Color Me Crafty collection from Doodlebug to create this adorable crafty themed mini album. The cover and each page are shaped like giant tickets and there’s a disc binding on the edges and fun dangling charm hanging on the spine. The cover has a cute stack of Polaroids accent and a layered scalloped border with button pattern paper.

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook AlbumInside she used more crafty pattern papers, embellishments, stickers, cardstock, puffy words and more to designs wonderful pages that have lots of room for crafty photos and journaling.

Crafty Themed Mini Scrapbook AlbumThere’s even a pocket to tuck in mementos and ephemera. I love the color scheme of this collection, it’s so bright and cheerful! This little album project is perfect for all your memories of going to scrapbooking classes, crops, conventions, retreats, hanging out crafting with friends or pics of your craft room.

Visit the Doodlebug blog to learn more about this project and watch a flip through video.
