Nathalie used beautiful floral stamps for an elegant stamped layout, pulling shades from the photos for the flower colors. She also added a stenciled background, pretty frames and a hidden pull out card for journaling. Learn more at the Altenew blog.
As well as a scrapbooker I’m also a stamper (and the editor of our card making blog) and love making cards using stamps and sometimes I enjoy combining those two loves to add some stamped elements onto my scrapbook layouts. One of the best things about stamping is being able to customize the design with the colors you chose so let’s say you have a pattern paper you want to use but no embellishments to match you can stamp and color in with coordinating colors. You can include large stamped images for a focal point of the page, create subtle backgrounds with stamping, use alphabet stamps to make custom titles and numbers for dates. Today let’s dive into some amazing layouts that include some stamping.

These fun reading stamps help you keep track of your books with phrases and places to fill in info, ratings, thoughts and more. Nicole used them on travelers notebook pages, adding some hand drawn details and bookish embellishments too. Take a closer look at A Cherry on Top blog.
Margie included a few stamp stamped embellishments to her travel layout like a “you are here” type marker and a compass. She stamped the compass on some silver foiling showing you can stamp on a variety of different types of papers to keep it fresh. Find her directions for this layout at the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog.
Here’s the perfect example of color matching I mentioned earlier on this sweet Easter layout from Tegan. She stamped jelly beans all over her white background coloring them in colors that coordinate with the pattern papers she chose. Find more details about her page at the Doodlebug Designs blog.
This fabulous floral layout combines foiling and stamping colored in shades of peach and light green with a watercolor wash geometric background and layers of pretty flowers. A die cut title and tiny green gems finish off the design perfectly. I spotted this idea on the Pinkfresh Studio Instagram page.
Nicole create her own pattern paper with a large background stamp stamped with blue ink on white paper. She also stamped a large flower bouquet, coloring it with markers and cutting it apart to add on the top and bottom of her design. Find directions at the Trinity Stamps blog.
This fun and fabulous layout uses alphabet stamps to spell out all the things a little girl loves. Paige stitched wavy colorful lines along the background, spelling out her words with colorful inks and letter stamps. Watch her video tutorial on the Paige Taylor Evans blog.
Ali used large number stamps on her Project Life pocket pages, stamping them on tags to use for journaling the events of each day. They were included on the front of a set of flaps tucked in between the traditional pockets. Watch her process video on the Ali Edwards blog.
Flowers are definitely a popular stamped image to add to scrapbook layouts, here’s another pretty floral page this time from Nicole. She created a grid design with photos and pattern paper, tearing some for texture. She made clusters of stamped flowers, coloring them with watered down ink for a soft watercolor look. Find more info at the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog.
Small stamped phrases and words are perfect to add inside die cut speech bubbles like Angela did here on this happy layout. Notice how she also used preprinted and chipboard words as well, it’s fun to mix and match styles, fonts and mediums! Take a closer look at the Spellbinders blog.
This marvelous monochromatic blue layout has a subtle stamped background. The text is stamped in opposite corners as a nice way to add some texture and she also tucked a stamped clock in with the die cut flowers too. Learn more at the Karen Hadler blog.
These lovely double page gardening layouts from Pamela have stamped potted plants, veggies and garden tools. She’s also got die cut letters for the title and included lots of typed journaling. I came across her idea on the passionateaboutscrapbooking Instagram page.
I hope you’ve been inspired to include a little or a lot of stamping on your next scrapbook layout!
