Ali’s Halloween title is so fun and freaky! She die cut the letters from white cardstock, backing each row with different pattern papers. Notice how the “Franken” looks like Frankenstein’s Monsters head with black “hair” on a green base, so clever! Learn more at the Scrapbook Adhesives blog.
Halloween will be here very soon so it’s time to start working on those fun, spooky and kooky Halloween scrapbook layouts. I love a page design that has a funny, clever or unique title or subtitles and this time of year is perfect for playing around with fun title ideas. So let’s dive into a big candy bowl of awesome inspiration!
Below each photo you’ll find a link, click it for more details like products used, tips, and tutorials.
Vicki’s amazing layout has rows of distressed and stitched pattern paper strips down the background. She’s also got rows of 4 different subtitles going down the right of the photo too. Haunted houses, black splatter and spider webs add more spooky touches. Take a closer peek at the Simple Stories blog.
Paige’s stunning double page spread used large letters to spell out Trick or Treat across both sides. Each letter is die cut from a different pattern paper and stitched around the edges. She added rows of photos and embellishments across the top and bottom of the words making for a very dynamic design. Find all the info at the Paige Taylor Evans blog.
There’s not a more appropriate title for Halloween than a large EEK! Tarrah also added more sentiments like “it’s just a bunch of Hocus Pocus”, a full moon button, good witch and Erie October, scattering them around the page helps move the eye around. She shares all the details at the Pretty Little Studio blog.
I love the word play of “ghoul friends” instead of girl friends, perfect for a spooky selfie with your bestie! Brianna also added a few fishtail sentiments, lots of witchy stickers and dies with layers of Halloween pattern papers layered behind the photo and for side borders. She breaks it all down at the Doodlebug blog.
Andrea used muted colors and vintage inspired patterns and images for her darling baby page. The large BOO! and subtitle balance out the photo and there some stitching and domed buttons and gems for extra dimension and texture. Take a closer look at the Creative Scrapbooker blog.
Don’t be afraid to just loads up a layout with words and phrases like Bruna did on her Spooky Vibes page. Use words like you would any other embellishment to fill in white space, balance the design and move the eye around the layout. I love this deep burgundy with black and white color scheme! Find more info at the Traci Reed Designs blog.
I adore the “Spooky Snap” title for an adorable Halloween baby photo shoot! Heather combined two very different styles of words for the title which works well for Halloween and with all the mix of pattern and prints she used. There’s also lots of smaller sentiment strips as well. I spotted her idea on her Hey, Heather Scrapbooks Instagram page.
This cool split page design has two pattern papers splitting the design down the middle with smaller layers of papers stacked behind the photo. And check out the yummy die cut cookies with spider embellishment! But notice how the title really stands out with it’s orange pop of alphabet stickers mixed with the gold thick chipboard letters. Visit the Scrap Happy blog for a closer peek.
This fun Boo Crew title is balanced by a cool cauldron made from black cardstock using different punches along with white gel pen for highlights. The black really pops against all the orange and green! Find direction for making your own cauldron at the Paper Sweetpea blog.
Sarah used bold colors of pattern papers for her large die cut “Trick or Treat” title, notice how the letters are backed in black to help them stand out even more. There’s lots of fun mixed media on this layout too like a resist technique with colorful inks over top, stamping, twisted thread, die cutting and torn paper. Find a process video link at the Sarah Millerhouse Creates Instagram page.
Shannon followed a sketch for her double page babies first Halloween layout that carries the large die cut title as well as the journaling strips across both pages. There’s room for 5 photos and a small border across the bottom too. Learn more at the Stampin Buds blog.
Kim’s page has lots of colorful ink splatter, a mix of cute and creepy embellishments clustered around the photo, a half border on the bottom, a cool “Let’s go ghouls” title and lots of smaller sentiments too. I spotted her idea on the Paper Issues Instagram page.
I hope you’ve enjoyed going down this trick or treat trail of fun Halloween titles with me!
