Inessa started with pattern paper that already has a wreath printed on but then added more flowers and insects along with gold dots and sequins to add more layers, shine and dimension to her lovely layout. This purple and green color combo is so pleasing! Learn more at the Paige Taylor Evans blog.
Wreath designs work on Scrapbook layouts just about any time of year and of course Spring is no exception. It’s the ideal time to incorporate flowers or try pastel color combination for fresh looks that will go perfectly with any Springtime photos. Create your wreaths using large die shapes, circle cutters or lots of embellishments, a wreath can be anything the encircles your design. Let’s get inspired and take a look at some layouts with wonderful Wreaths for Spring.
If you love to fussy cut then grab your scissors and some floral papers and start cutting to replicate this stunning layout from Natsuko. There’s a wreath of colorful stems and tiny flowers around the photo with a large title, then she left some space between the frame. This outer frame has large pink scalloped edges and loads of fussy cut flowers tucked all around. I spotted this idea on her Natsuko’s Little Craftroom Instagram page.
This lovely lucky layout is perfect for St. Patrick’s Day with a circle of green leaves, purple clover and white Lily flowers, horseshoes and buttons in gold. The frames for the photos add a nice rustic touch with an aged wood look. Take a closer peek at this digi design at Lucky Girl Creative.
Here’s a unique twist on a wreath with a color wheel inspired design with bold primary colors in wedges that have been stitched around the edge. Karlla also added flowers, plants, tickets, office supplies and other embellishments in the same color as it’s section for a very cohesive layout. She breaks it all down at the Pinkfresh Studio blog.
Jessica used a large white die cut wreath and backed it with pretty pattern papers as the base for her artsy 70’s inspired page. She’s included two film strips as a way to include a lot of photos with flowers, art supplies, butterflies and several sentiment strips in a cluster opposite the pics. I came across her layout on A Cherry on Top Instagram page.
Here’s a another different spin on a wreath, layers of concentric round pattern papers stacked in the center. Melissa added purple watercolor behind her circles as well as a floral base and on opposite sides she added clusters of flowers, a bird and bee for a sweet Spring layout for her kitty cat. I spotted her idea on her Melissa Minor gallery at Scrapbook.com.
A flower heart shaped wreath is the ideal addition to a wedding layout. Michele used a pretty die cut out of white, filling in the center with wide sewn strips of pattern papers and adding some splashes of watercolor behind it. There’s clusters of different types of flowers, some sentiments and hearts too, keeping the photo in black and white for a classic look. Take a closer peek at the My Creative Scrapbook blog.
Wreaths don’t have to be round. Lisa created a fun square wreath around the edges of her bold graphic heart design. She hand drew the lines and then added hearts, some of which she also drew around. The photo has flowers, cameras and the title gathered around it. I came across her idea on the Bella Blvd. Instagram page.
Did you take a Spring Break trip to Disney? Celes’s darling Disney layout uses a large circle in the center for the black and white photo, surrounding it with loads if theme park icons like tickets, tabs, flags, stars, food and of course Mickey and Minnie. I love the pink thin strips on polka dot paper with brads at each corner, it helps ground the design. Find directions at the Simple Stories blog.
A wreath is a fun way to wrap up your journaling like Elizabeth did on her double page journal spread. She used stamped leaves and flowers to form the wreath adding some pretty floral stickers as well. She echoed a similar design with stamps and stickers on the photo page to tie it all together. Learn more at the Cocoa Daisy blog.
Here’s another Disney design but with a cool hexagon floral wreath, die cut from black cardstock and backed with bright pattern papers. Additional flowers, buttons and tickets sit with the colorful photos for a bold Spring design. I spotted Deborah’s design at the Peartree Cutfiles Instagram page.
Die cut flowers with layers of paint create an artistic feel for a sweet Mother’s Day page. There’s also wide bands of watercolor on the base for touches of color to peek through. Die cut letters create the title along with a sentiment and butterfly to finish things off. Take a closer look at the Altenew blog.
I hope you’ve been inspired to include or create wreaths to bring some focus, color and special design to your Spring layouts!
