If you love baking cookies, cakes or pies for the Holiday Season be sure to take photos of your kitchen (yes, even if it’s messy :)), yourself and the family baking and decorating, the finished product and friends and family enjoying your delicious treats so you can scrapbook some yummy layouts. Today we’ll take a look at some wonderful ideas that focus on baking.

Julie created a wonderful mixed media layout for her baking page. She used inks, stencils, stamping, rub on’s, stitching and die cut elements for a colorful design with lots of layers and texture. Take a closer look on the 49th and Market blog.
Not only should you keep the memories of what you baked by also how you baked it by including the recipe, future generations will thank you for it! Jayne created a digital layout in traditional Christmas green and red with lots of clusters of images in vintage inspired designs, photos of her baked goods and a cookie recipe. I spotted this on the Sweet Shoppe gallery.
Bethany made a double page spread with die cut gingerbread houses, a living room scene, plaid pattern paper background and clever mixed alphabet title. This colorful layout used lots of circles cut from cardstock and pattern paper, some with faux stitching added, to create a pretty wreath with a die cut bow at the top. There’s also some paint splatter and a stamped title. Take a closer look at the This Chick Loves Paper blog.
I love the way Karlla used pattern papers on this darling baking layout! She cut what she calls “pizza slices” from different pattern in the same collection and layered them on one side of her design. Phil used a cool die cut of a kitchen stand mixer cut from teal cardstock and backed it with pretty poinsettia pattern papers. He also created a wide border from texture brick with a tiny scalloped trim over the polka dot background paper to tie all the colors together. I spotted this design on his Scrappy Guy gallery at Scrapbook.com.
If you like to keep it clean and simple check out this lovely design with the cookie photo matted with white and soft pink and a stamped sentiment label overlapping. This approach is perfect for December Daily, Traveler’s Notebook or Project Life style albums. I came across this idea on the everydayexplorersco Instagram page.
Becky created a fun fringe border with three layers of holiday pattern papers. There’s also lots of pattern stacked behind the photo, a tag for journaling and scattered stars with faux stitching. Take a peek over at the Traci Reed Designs blog.
Dorymar created this adorable layout with kids proudly showing off their gingerbread house creations. There’s lots of different pattern papers with a wide frame border along the outside popped up with foam tape. Becki created an amazing border across the top of her baking layout with blocks of pattern papers stitched together and a ruffled heart scallop on the edge. Around her photos are a die cut title, typed journaling and cute cookie die cut images. I spotted this on her Becki Adam gallery at Scrapbook.com.
This sweet double page layout uses the same simple background on both sides with a block of plaid paper and another of green turned on it’s points and a border running across. One side has two photos, the other four, leaving room for journaling and sentiments on either side. This idea uses products from Creative Memories.
