Karlla mixed fruit and flowers on this amazing layout. She created custom stripes with swipes of small ink pads on strips of cardstock that she stitched down in an ombre’ rainbow. She matched the colors of the oranges, lemons and flower embellishments to each strip. Learn more at the Pinkfresh Studio blog.
With all the buds and blooms coming for Spring that means many will turn into delicious fruits soon for Summer. Using fruits is a fun way to bring in color and zest to your scrapbook layouts, especially for designs featuring trips to the Farmers Market, berry picking, outdoor picnics, Arbor and Earth Days, cooking and baking or strolls through an orchard. Today we’ll take a look at some inspiring Scrapbook layout ideas using fruits.
Ali’s cheery cherry layout is perfect for her pic sitting on a big cherry. There’s a large die cut tile with cherry sections for shaker element, she’s backed some words with pattern papers and included accents of buttons as well. All the red, pink and green patterns are so cohesive together! Find all the details at the Scrapbook Adhesives blog.
Andrea’s lovely lemon layout has lots of layers of pattern papers, some with scallops and some stitched. Clusters of lemons, flowers and enamel buttons surround the black and white photos which really stand out among all the colors and patterns. I love all the cheerful sentiment strips too! She breaks it all at the Simple Stories blog.
Allison’s sweet page has just a touch of fruit with a strawberry tag title and strawberry strip of pattern paper. This amazing design uses lots of strips of pattern papers (perfect for scraps!), going down the design in a rainbow with a few scalloped edges and lots of sewing in coordinating color, accented with heartss. There’s also several sentiments and journaling near the tag too. Find all the details at the Allison Davis 4 SG blog.
This sunny double page spread is so fresh and clean with lemon pattern paper in the center and two blue papers on either end and some pops of pink as well. This double page spread uses printed scrapbook pages that just require your photos and journaling with a little embellishment if you’d like. The fruit stand photos were matted with matching colors to the fruity border, alphabet stickers created part of the title and lacey punches made the top border. Tiffany’s digital layout has a fun spin on the “If Life Gives You Lemons” quote and used lemon bars instead for her sweet baking design. Becki’s sweet design has photos from berry picking with die cut strawberries, die cut title and typed journaling but the standout is that background! She used lots of different rectangles of pattern papers to form a quilt design and zig zag stitched around them all for a stunning backdrop! I came across her idea in her Becki Adam gallery at Scrapbook.com.
I hope you have a fun and fruity day!
