Sadly Summer is over and it’s now time for the kids to head Back to School. Be sure to take loads of cute photos to scrap of them in their outfits on the first day, getting on the bus and meeting their new teachers and journal about what subjects and activities they are looking forward too this new school year. This large cool Back to School die cut fills in most of the page with words and images of a chalkboard, backpack, apple, globe, pencils and more. Morag backed them with pattern papers adding other fun embellishments along with a splash of watercolor on the background. You can find this digital die at Bramble Fox.

Sue used a wash of watercolor with Distress Oxide ink, tiny star stamp, torn pattern paper and cheese cloth for the background. As you can tell by now stars are a popular image for school as well as primary colors like Ashley used on her Smarty Pants page. This bold design has lots of stripes, borders and clusters of fun school themed icons with three photos and some journaling. It captures so much of the fun of heading Back to School! I spotted this idea on the Echo Park Paper Instagram page.
This layout is a great way to use up lots of left over strips of pattern paper to create a unique background. Notice how most of the photos are in black and white so they don’t get over shadowed by the busy patterns. The glitter gold letters in the title add a nice bit of sparkle too. Kimberly used products for Harry Potter and repurposed them for Back to School using stacks and rows of books, stary paper and magical sentiments above and below the photo. It’s great out of the box thinking using up product you might already have but for a different type of layout! I spotted this on her Kimberly Scraps gallery at Scrapbook.com.
And finally Phil used a large backpack die bursting with supplies for the focus of his layout. Each section is backed with different pattern papers for a bright and colorful design.
