Autumn is quickly approaching and that means soon we’ll be taking trips to the farmers market, apple picking, strolling through the pumpkin patch, drinking at October Fest and enjoying all the foods and flavors of Fall. So today let’s take a look at some scrapbook layout ideas for Autumn Harvest.
Beneath each photo you’ll see a link, click it for more details like process videos, products used and techniques.
Becki used the new Farmers Market collection from Doodlebug for her sweet layout. It has 2 rows of 2 photos with hanging tags tucked in behind. There’s several phrases, clusters of flowers and strips of typed journaling as well. Find all the details on the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog.
If it’s allowed be sure to take your pup apple picking for some dog-gone adorable photos. Juliana used faux stitched circle dies cut from different fall pattern papers to form a wreath behind her cluster of photos. There’s also a tag for journaling and a few stickers too. Take a closer peek at the 17 Turtles blog.
One fun technique to do with double sided pattern papers is too fold them so both sides are showing like Karyn did on this pretty Harvest layout. Notice how she also scalloped the edges and placed another pattern paper behind the opening too. This adds so many different patterns but without being too busy. Find out more at the Karyn Crops blog.
This beautiful layout is all about angles. Setting squares and rectangles sideways is a super simple but effective way to add lots of extra interest to your design. This Pumpkin Patch page uses pattern and solid paper layered and angled with open frames and matts. There’s several clusters of embellishments to offset some of the angles too. I spotted this idea on the Echo Park Paper Instagram page.
I know this isn’t a complete layout but these journaling cards and border made with a fence punch are a perfect addition to any Harvest design. Fall pattern paper and pre-printed die cut embellishments help set the scene. Find directions on the Creative Memories blog.
Reap the rewards of your Harvest with an Autumn dinner party. This layout has beautiful die cut leaves and botanicals behind the photo and a wreath of leaves around the title and hand written journaling. The woodgrain background adds to the rustic feel too. I spotted this page on the sherrystamps Instagram page.
This amazing pumpkin layout from Dana has so much wonderful texture from torn paper, torn fabric bow, knitted pumpkin embellishments and fuzzy heart. She used pattern papers to create a large pumpkin shape behind the photo and included some had written journaling as well. Find all the details at the They Call Me Tatar Salad blog.
If you’re looking to create a layout in a jiffy then try digital, you still get the look of dimension and texture but in a fraction of the time. This beautiful digi Apple Orchard page from Sula has warm colors, lots of embellishments and sentiments layered in the center of the page. I came across this idea on the Misty Hilltops blog.
This lovely layout from Brianna has layers of pattern papers in one corner with the photos, titles and clusters of embellishments over top, which pulls the eye to focus on this section. But she also added a few falling leaves and another smaller cluster on the opposite corner for some balance. Take a closer peek at the Simple Stories blog.
Sheena used stitching to design the base of a wreath for this stunning layout. She used die cut leaves, pre-printed pumpkins, flower and more leaves to decorate, adding a tag, journaling card and some loose threads as well. Notice how most of the decor is around the photo for focus. Watch her process video on the Hey Little Magpie blog.
Shannon incorporate a couple of techniques we looked at previously with an opening of torn pattern papers and some hexagon shapes. There’s lots of little sentiments and accents all around too with some inking using Ranger’s Distress Oxide Inks. You can check out her process video over on the Scrapbook Adhesives blog.
I hope you’ve been inspired to head out and do some Harvesting this Autumn and create some wonderful layouts for all the fun photos you took.
