The Autumn Leaves are stunning right now, the Mums and Sunflowers are bold and blooming and it’s a terrific time to include Botanicals on your scrapbook layout designs. Leaves, flowers, twigs, swags, fruit and sprays of red, orange, yellow and deep greens can be included on outdoor and indoor themes for masculine and feminine designs and for many different Fall occasions, in short Botanicals are very versatile! Vicki added texture to her Fall leaves layout by tearing, layering and inking acorn pattern paper. She also included clusters of other botanicals like leaves, mushrooms and pumpkins around her title and photo. Learn more at the Simple Stories blog.

Woodgrain works beautifully with florals on this page from Sara. She kept the colors muted with touches of pink with the browns, creams and gold. This awesome orchard layout from Giselle has cross stitching around the edges and light stenciling for some pattern. The photo is backed with layers of paper and ephemera with a row of botanicals, insects and apples down one side with a cluster on the other, there’s even some chipboard elements too.
