Torn papers give the feeling of snowy hills and 3D sentiments add a dimensional element to this fun Winter Activities layout from Wendy. Learn more at the Bramble Fox blog.
It is cold and snowy where you live? We’ve had a dusting but no big snow falls yet but I’m sure it’s coming soon. Be sure to head outside this Winter and enjoy the snow, go sledding, skiing, build a snowman, bundle up and take a hike and of course while you’re out there take some wintery weather pics to scrapbook. I’ve gathered a bunch of fun outdoor Winter layout ideas for some inspiration.
Beneath each photo you’ll find a link, click to learn more like products used, techniques and tips.
Pastel pinks and grey/greens add a soft touch to this pretty page using products from Echo Park. Under the photo is a swag made up of the title, banner, cute penguin and polar bear and clusters of other winter icons. I spotted this page on the dorymar_pl Instagram page.
I would never have thought to add sticks to a layout but it really works on this outdoor winter page! There’s even more texture from stitching, stencil paste, tubes of rolled cardstock and chipboard pieces too. Learn more on the Simple Stories blog.
These double page sledding layouts used different techniques like stamping, dry embossing and die cutting along with lots of fun pattern papers. I came across these ideas on the crafty_concepts_with_erin Instagram page.
I’m loving this color combo of teal, blue and purple, they work so well with frosty designs! This page has printed snowy acetate, lots of pre-printed dies of trees, mountains, birds and snowflakes that all create a scene around the photo. Learn more on the Doodlebug blog.
Danielle used a stitching die cut file for the background of this fun skiing layout, the die “cuts” the holes to make sewing easier. She backed her stitched layer with pattern papers and over top she added fun wintery images, more layers of pattern papers, tags and clusters of botanicals. Visit the Paige Taylor Evans blog for a closer look.
This stunning layout has a rainbow of rows starting with the sticker letters title, below that is a row of images like houses, trees, snowflakes and sentiment along with the photo and beneath that is a row of colorful fringed papers. Learn how this page came together at the Pink Fresh Studio blog.
Some plants do flower in the Winter such as Crocus which Nathalie used on her lovely Hello Snow page and a half. She stamped the flowers and colored them using ink pads, also adding a glitter paper die cut title and doily behind the photo. Learn more on the Altenew blog.
Kim used a sketch as the starting point of her wonderful Winter layout. She’s got layers of pattern papers, blue acrylic embellishments, a border drawn with white gel pen (much easier than sewing!) and adorable photos. Watch her process video and get the sketch over on the Stamping Imperfection blog.
This awesome skiing double page spread is accented with lots of stamped and colored images and die cut snowflakes. Using flaps and pockets Jayma was easily able to add lots of photos as well. I came across these pages on the jaymalew Instagram page.
I hope you’re able to bundle up and get out and enjoy some wintery weather!
