Tutorial- Halloween Spider Card

Make this spooky and fun Halloween card with complete step-by-step instructions at Awash With Color. To make the card you’ll need:

  • Paper Smooches Dies: Leaf Frame, Fall Tree
  • Paper Smooches Stamps: Fall Sampler, Halloweenies
  • 1 1/2″ Circle Die or Circle Punch
  • Cardstock: Black, Dark Gray, Yellow/Orange
  • Patterned Paper: Doodlebug Design Tangerine Gingham Linen 5430
  • VersaFine Onyx Black Ink
  • Black Pen (e.g. Copic Multiliner)
  • Sequins: Doodlebug Designs – Tangerine, Bumblebee

If you don’t have the exact supplies listed, you can always substitute with what you have on hand.

80’s Inspired Boombox Shaped Mini Album

I was a teen in the 80’s so this totally rad Boombox shaped mini album from Traci really speaks to me! She created a rectangle shaped black acrylic album with rounded corners, adding buttons and a handle on the top with a cover decorated to look like a real boombox with speakers, a tape deck, buttons and more. She used the Totally 80’s collection of products from Simple Stories that has lots of bright pink and teal colors with cool 80’s inspired patterns like black and white check and colorful graphics. There’s also load of fun embellishments like a Walkman, high top sneakers, retro TV, camera, hair spray can and more. 

I had huge hair in the 80’s and am embarrassed to admit how much Aquanet hair spray I used!

Traci has included her totally tubular signature flaps and pockets in the album too for some radical interactive elements too.
