Ever struggle to come up with ideas for cards, or find that card sketches are too restrictive? Carson from Pine & Plum has a solution. She has found that she works much better creating cards if she modifies a scrapbook page layout. In her blog post she tells you exactly how she goes about doing that. You’ll see the original sketch she used. This idea can be adapted to make cards from scraps after completing a layout too!
With Thanksgiving on the way it’s a wonderful time to take stock of all the things you’re grateful for. You can create journaling or scrapbooking layouts or even create an entire album like Conny did. Her mini album measures 5″ x 5 1/2″ and was made from scratch with chipboard, pattern papers and the One Fall Day collection from Bella Blvd. The cover has layers of pretty Fall papers, a chipboard sentiment and chipboard leaves and flowers, it also ties closed with ribbon.
Inside are beautiful pages with pattern paper backgrounds, more chipboard shapes and phrases with room for a photo and embellishments on each page.
