Seashell Shaped Photo Frame Project

This summer if you’ve taken a trip to the beach take your photos off the scrapbook page and into some sweet handmade seashell photo frames to keep your pictures in or to give as gifts. This fun DIY project idea comes from Priyanka who used chipboard for the base of the frames, covering them in fabric but you could use paper too. Then she embellished the frames with pearls, wooden shapes, paper flowers, stickers, printed dies and sentiment strips. I love the soft mint green and cream colors she used, so beachy!

80’s Inspired Boombox Shaped Mini Album

I was a teen in the 80’s so this totally rad Boombox shaped mini album from Traci really speaks to me! She created a rectangle shaped black acrylic album with rounded corners, adding buttons and a handle on the top with a cover decorated to look like a real boombox with speakers, a tape deck, buttons and more. She used the Totally 80’s collection of products from Simple Stories that has lots of bright pink and teal colors with cool 80’s inspired patterns like black and white check and colorful graphics. There’s also load of fun embellishments like a Walkman, high top sneakers, retro TV, camera, hair spray can and more. 

I had huge hair in the 80’s and am embarrassed to admit how much Aquanet hair spray I used!

Traci has included her totally tubular signature flaps and pockets in the album too for some radical interactive elements too.
