This amazing By the Seashore layout has torn paper to mimic ocean waves, with a journaling circle tucked in. There’s also clusters of beach and turtle embellishments along with a fun fishy border. Take a closer look at the Creative Memories blog.

Summertime is when so many of us head to the beach. Lounging by the water, building sandcastles, soaking up some Vitamin C (with sunscreen of course) and watching the ocean tide go in and out, it’s the perfect place to capture wonderful vacation memories. Snap lots of pic by the seashore to scrap when you arrive back home from your trip and check out these amazing layout ideas for some inspiration.

Traci create her own custom palm tree embellishment that she free hand cut from two pattern papers, showing you don’t always need fancy die cuts! She layered lots of tropical papers for her background, stamping a sentiment on one and creating a custom title over top of fishtail banners. Find all the details at the Cocoa Daisy blog.

12 By the Seashore Scrapbook Layout Ideas

Dory created an entire amazing seashore scene for the background of her layout. Woodgrain and torn tan papers create the sand and she added a tiny town over top along with lifeguard chair at the waters edge and a sail boat in front of the sun rise. I spotted her idea on her dorymar_pl Instagram page.

This cool section of a tunnel style album about the seashore has a cool pattern paper frame, two matted photos hanging over the opening and small embellishments. There’s also some beachy sentiments and loose thread for some movement. Take a look at the entire album and a video tutorial at the Graphic 45 blog.

Paige created a pretty pattern beach umbrella with a large die cut from white cardstock and backed with pastel pattern papers. Inside are tucked flowers and the photos and in the background are beautiful blue stitched clouds. Find all the details at the Paige Taylor Evans blog.

The large stunning photo of the beach pier is the star of this show but there’s still lots of room for color, pattern and texture. Aline used polka dot and floral pattern papers for the background adding thick clusters of flowers, chipboard accents and accordion folded paper along with a chipboard title too. Visit the Simple Stories blog for more info.

12 By the Seashore Scrapbook Layout Ideas

Petra create an interesting background for her design with three wide stripes of pattern papers, notice how each one has a unique edge. Around she include chipboard accents, vellum pieces, a tag for journaling and notice the polaroid frame over one photo that really pulls the eye right in. I came across her idea on her PJD gallery at Scrapbook.com.

12 By the Seashore Scrapbook Layout Ideas

Erin created a wonderful background using watercolors in blue and tan for her seaside double pages. She broke it up with die cut hexagons and stamped script. In the corners she created stamped and die cut clusters of seashells and plant life. I spotted this at her Crafty Concepts with Erin Instagram page.

12 By the Seashore Scrapbook Layout Ideas

This stunning seashore layout from Carol looks to have lots of thick mixed media layers and embellishments but because it’s digital it’s actually flat. The stark white and soft blues really capture the feel of the ocean. Going digital is a wonderful way to create quick layouts that also don’t add bulk to your album. I came across her idea at her Carol W Designs gallery at O’Scrap.

12 By the Seashore Scrapbook Layout Ideas

Julies stand out layout has so much dimension and movement! Down the center of the page she layered lots of die cut waves cut from different blue and tan pattern papers. Over top are thick wooden and acrylic words and embellishments plus tags, beads, enamel dots and paint splatter. Take a closer peek at the Bramble Fox blog.

12 By the Seashore Scrapbook Layout Ideas

Tara’s terrific layout uses a printed digital background that she layered thin strips of pattern papers stitched down in black over top. There’s also lots of printed beachy embellishments, a bit of journaling and some splatter too. Find a link to her process video at the Traci Reed Designs blog.

12 By the Seashore Scrapbook Layout Ideas

Wendy used a red, white and blue color pallet for a very nautical feel on her seashore layout. This design is filled with cool embellishments like die cut netting, tags and sentiments along with tickets, tabs and ephemera tucked all around and a space on the background for journaling. Find all the details at the Hey, Little Magpie blog.

I hope you’ve found some ideas and inspiration today for all the By the Seashore photos you might take on vacation.
