Open cut dies are terrific on a layout but you can take it a step further and use them as a stencil for a custom patterned background. Gisselle used a sun pattern die 
with yellow ink to stencil her background, adding some splatters of gold paint overtop for added shimmer. The light blues and green of her pattern papers and embellishments work so nicely with the yellow stenciled pattern.
