Inspiration du Jour | Day Trip

June 16, 2014 by Francine Clouden

Inspiration du Jour - Day Trip by Scrap Maman

I really love the background treatment on Day Trip by Scrap Maman (Nathalie). The combination of inks and layered patterned papers is quite unique.

Tidbits about Nathalie:

How long have you been scrapping? I believe I started to seriously scrapbook around 2007, once I found the online world of scrapbooking but I had done my wedding album a few years prior.

Paper or digi? (or both?) Paper!

What is your favorite scrapboooking supply? Kits! I have been on kit club design teams pretty much non stop since 2008! I don’t think I remember how to scrap without one!!! 🙂

Where do you find inspiration? I spend a lot of time reading blogs and collecting on Pinterest! I feel that there are so many talented people out there. That said, my work often starts with a paper combination, or a sticker, or a journaling card that will make me want to use a certain photo or tell a specific story.

Thank you for having me!

Nathalie

Wedding Mini Album

Wedding Mini Album

Last month was peak wedding season so this week I’m focusing on scrapbooking all those fabulous wedding memories. (Check out a collection of 12 fresh new wedding layouts from my post earlier this week if you missed it.) And today we’ll be checking out a fantastic Wedding Mini Album project so you can keep all the memories of that special day in one place that’s easy to carry around and show off to friends, family and coworkers.

Wedding Mini Album

Using the same collection in a mini album makes it so much easier and faster to create with no guess work on color scheme, pattern or style. Cheryl used the Simple Vintage Love Story collection from Simple Stories for her beautiful mini album project. There’s lots of florals, butterflies and vintage touches like postage, tags and tickets that come in sweet products like pattern papers, chipboard, foam stickers, rub-ons and more that coordinate perfectly together for a seamless design.

I really love the interactive elements she included in her album like flaps and pockets too!

Visit the Simple Stories blog to see more pics of the album and learn a bit about how she put it all together.
