Washi Tape, sometimes called Japanese masking tape, comes in so many different patterns, colors and widths and can be used on a variety of paper crafting projects. This versatile tape can create borders, stripes and backgrounds on scrapbooking layouts and cards, it can decorate storage in your craftroom, added to home decor projects, used as removable labels and so much more! The design team over at Altenew has used some of their beautiful washi tapes to create several inspirational projects like scrapbook layouts, greeting cards, mini notebooks and even decorated a storage box.

I was a teen in the 80’s so this totally rad Boombox shaped mini album from Traci really speaks to me! She created a rectangle shaped black acrylic album with rounded corners, adding buttons and a handle on the top with a cover decorated to look like a real boombox with speakers, a tape deck, buttons and more. She used the Totally 80’s collection of products from Simple Stories that has lots of bright pink and teal colors with cool 80’s inspired patterns like black and white check and colorful graphics. There’s also load of fun embellishments like a Walkman, high top sneakers, retro TV, camera, hair spray can and more.

I had huge hair in the 80’s and am embarrassed to admit how much Aquanet hair spray I used!

Traci has included her totally tubular signature flaps and pockets in the album too for some radical interactive elements too.
