How to Make an Envelope Mini Album

September 7, 2017 by Francine Clouden

Make this envelope mini album from scratch with the detailed instructions over at Crate Paper. For the structure of the album, you’ll need cardboard, fabric, ribbon and small envelopes.

Stephanie shows how to construct the album cover, as well as how to adhere the envelopes together to make the unique accordion pockets.

After that it time to pull out photos, papers, and embellishments and get to work on all the pretty pages.

Mini albums are great little projects for using up scraps, trying out new products and experimenting with techniques and designs.

10 Fall Leaves Scrapbook Layout Templates for Cosy Autumn Memory Keeping

There’s just something magical about scrapbooking in autumn. Even if you’re nowhere near crunchy leaves and pumpkin patches, the colours, textures, and cosy vibes of fall somehow sneak their way into our craft rooms. I always find myself reaching for warm tones, kraft cardstock, textured papers, and anything that feels a little earthy and nostalgic.

To celebrate all those beautiful autumn stories waiting to be told, I’ve created a brand new set of 10 Fall Leaves scrapbook layout templates. These are single-page designs, perfect for 1–2 photos, and each one features a mix of realistic leaves, whimsical doodle leaves, bold graphic shapes, pumpkins, acorns, and autumn clusters. It’s a lovely blend of styles so scrapbookers can pick the look that fits their story best.

These layouts work beautifully for:
• fall family photos
• pumpkin patch visits
• leaf-raking (or leaf-jumping!) moments
• harvest festivals
• Thanksgiving pages
• cosy indoor snapshots
• scenic autumn walks
• pets in leaves (always adorable)
• autumn crafting sessions
• back-to-school or early school-year memories

Here’s a closer look at the 10 layouts included:

––––––––––––––––––––––
Layout 1 – Layered Circles + Leaf Cluster
A warm, balanced layout with bold shapes and a leafy bundle at the base.

Layout 2 – Tall Photo With Leaf Spray & Acorns
Natural, slightly rustic — perfect for outdoor snapshots.

Layout 3 – Side-by-Side Photos with Graphic Leaves
A clean, modern take on autumn storytelling.

Layout 4 – Vertical Rainbow Arc + Pile of Leaves
A fun mash-up of geometric and organic elements.

Layout 5 – Pumpkin Accent + Soft Doodle Leaves
Ideal for pumpkin patch or Halloween-adjacent photos without being “Halloween themed.”

Layout 6 – Classic Leaf Borders + Title Ribbon
A timeless and flexible autumn page that works with any colour scheme.

Layout 7 – Big Bundle of Leaves + Journaling Strip
Perfect when you have a longer story to tell — fall always brings those reflective moments.

Layout 8 – Acorns + Layered Arches
Cosy, earthy, and great for quiet or sentimental layouts.

Layout 9 – Pumpkin + Falling Leaves Cluster
A sweet, slightly whimsical option with lots of visual movement.

Layout 10 – Graphic Leaf Corners + Clean Centre Photo
Simple, modern, and very adaptable — it’s a great “go-to” autumn sketch.

How to Use These Fall Leaves Sketch Templates

  • Mix kraft + white cardstock for a crisp autumn look
    • Use distress inks or chalk ink to add soft shading behind the leaves
    • Add real stitching or faux stitching around the circles and borders
    • Stamp leaves or acorns to extend the clusters further
    • Try tone-on-tone leaf shapes for a layered, textured feel
    • Use patterned papers in oranges, rusts, plums, and warm neutrals
    • Rotate the sketches for completely new layout possibilities

Autumn pages have a nostalgia to them that just feels good to scrapbook. These cosy leaf-focused sketches are designed to help you capture that warmth and make your photos shine — even if your “fall” looks more like a warm afternoon with iced coffee and air conditioning (hello from Australia).

If you use these sketches, tag CraftGossip on social media — I absolutely love seeing how your seasonal layouts come to life.
