How to Make a Watermelon Shaped Mini Album

For Summer picnics, food festivals, gardening or trips to the farmer market this amazing Watermelon shaped album is the perfect place to keep all those warm, sunshiny memories. Teresa used the Sunshine on My Mind collection from Graphic 45 to create this cool mini album project. The cover looks just like a quartered melon with three layers and a sweet sentiment die cut tag tied with twine. The entire album is tied closed with wide red and white chevron ribbon.

Inside the pages are filled with tags, stickers, die cut photo mats, ribbon, frames, rub-ons and much more, all in red, pink, white and green with yummy fruits, pretty flowers and more sunny delights.

I was a teen in the 80’s so this totally rad Boombox shaped mini album from Traci really speaks to me! She created a rectangle shaped black acrylic album with rounded corners, adding buttons and a handle on the top with a cover decorated to look like a real boombox with speakers, a tape deck, buttons and more. She used the Totally 80’s collection of products from Simple Stories that has lots of bright pink and teal colors with cool 80’s inspired patterns like black and white check and colorful graphics. There’s also load of fun embellishments like a Walkman, high top sneakers, retro TV, camera, hair spray can and more.

I had huge hair in the 80’s and am embarrassed to admit how much Aquanet hair spray I used!

Traci has included her totally tubular signature flaps and pockets in the album too for some radical interactive elements too.
