How to Make a Vintage Mixed Media Scrapbook Panel

March 13, 2026 by Heather Holbrook

Take your scrapbooking off the page with an amazing mixed media art panel like this one from Emma. This wonderful vintage inspired design is on a thick board panel that can be framed and hug on a wall, rested on a mantle, shelf or desk or used as a sturdy cover for a scrapbook album. She used lots of products designed by Tim Holts from Ranger and Stampers Anonymous. There’s distressed and stitched pattern papers for the background and over top she layered smaller panels covered with different pattern papers to build dimension and add depth. The black and white vintage photo is in the center and around and over top of the panels she added die cut and inked roses, wooden and metal accents, hardware and embellishments, fabrics, buttons, labels and more.

Find step by step direction at the Simon Says Stamp blog.
