How to Make a Summer Pocket Mini Scrapbook Album

August 8, 2025 by Heather Holbrook

How to Make a Summer Pocket Mini Scrapbook Album

Looking to create a fun interactive place to keep all our Summer memories? Then check out this amazing Summertime Pocket Mini Album from Jessica. She started with a notebook style base, decorating the cover in paper printed with flowers insects and a wonderful sentiment with a foil mat. There’s also lots of twine tied around the cover and beads dangling from the spine.

Inside both the back and front covers she use paper to create custom pockets to tuck in tags, journaling cards and more.

On the inside you’ll find so many unique styles of pages, lots of traditional plastic pocket pages but also flaps, fold outs and shaker elements too.

Fill all the fun spaces with your Summer photos, journaling, memories, ephemera, tickets and anything related to your Summer journeys, trips, lazy days and fun in the sun.

Check out photos of all the pages, a flip through video and her how to process video over at The Cherry On Top blog.

Wedding Mini Album

Wedding Mini Album

Last month was peak wedding season so this week I’m focusing on scrapbooking all those fabulous wedding memories. (Check out a collection of 12 fresh new wedding layouts from my post earlier this week if you missed it.) And today we’ll be checking out a fantastic Wedding Mini Album project so you can keep all the memories of that special day in one place that’s easy to carry around and show off to friends, family and coworkers.

Using the same collection in a mini album makes it so much easier and faster to create with no guess work on color scheme, pattern or style. Cheryl used the Simple Vintage Love Story collection from Simple Stories for her beautiful mini album project. There’s lots of florals, butterflies and vintage touches like postage, tags and tickets that come in sweet products like pattern papers, chipboard, foam stickers, rub-ons and more that coordinate perfectly together for a seamless design.

I really love the interactive elements she included in her album like flaps and pockets too!

Visit the Simple Stories blog to see more pics of the album and learn a bit about how she put it all together.
