How to Make a Spring Card and Journal in One

Colleen’s sweet project is a card and mini journal or scrapbook all in one. It measure 6″ x 6″ with a white cardstock base and is decorated with 5 sheets of Spring floral pattern papers cut to size. One sheet she tore on the diagonal and inked for some texture for the front and back covers, placing a large Daisy ephemera for the focal point on the front.

Inside she decorated with fold outs and even a fun pocket to tuck in some tags. I love all the flowers, splashes of color, butterflies and sweet designs, it feels like a wonderful nature journal.

How adorable is this round Bee inspired album from Traci?! She used the Bee Happy collection from Doodlebug and a round petal acrylic album of her own design for the base. The cover has flower petal openings so she decorated the center with round scalloped die cut pattern paper and a cute bee embellishment in the middle and added smaller circles of pattern papers on the first page so they show through the openings. It’s held together with a metal “O” ring tied with plaid ribbon.

The inside pages are cut from black cardstock and measure 7 1/4″ wide and she decorated each page with more cute bees, lots of floral papers and flower embellishments and cute bee themed sentiments and sayings.

She’s also included a few of her signature interactive elements like flaps and pockets too. I love how bright and cheerful this project is! It would make a perfect give for a newly married couple or for an anniversary.
