How to Create a Waterfall Scrapbook Layout

February 16, 2024 by Heather Holbrook

How to Create a Waterfall Scrapbook Layout

If you’re looking for a way to add loads of photos on a page try creating a waterfall layout. A waterfall is an interactive element with a tab that when pulled flips up flaps to reveal each section. Suzanna created a “reverse” waterfall for her page with a fun twist, instead of pulling the tab you push it up.

For each section of the waterfall she used 6″ x 4″ printed patterned cards adding photos along with sentiments and embellishments to each mini “page”. The over all design is very graphic and colorful and super cute with a visit to a goat farm. The title is made from dimensional and glitter letters with a few flowers scattered around and a trendy wax seal on the tab.

Make a Scrapbook "Page" Inside a Tin

I love scrapbooking “off the page”, meaning something that’s not on a flat common sheet of cardstock to go inside of an album and doing something really non-traditional! Well, this project from Aline really fits the bill with a scrapbook “page” inside of a small metal tin,  it’s so cute and clever!

Using the Sweet Summer collection from Simple Stories she placed picnic themed pattern papers on the inside top and bottom of the tin decorating it with stickers and chipboard elements (that can fold down and pop up) along with a fussy cut photo to create a darling scene.

She also decorated the top of the tin with pattern paper, more chipboard, words and metal acrylic buttons, adding a sentiment strip on the side of the tin.

Visit the Simple Stories blog to see more of the project and how she put it together.
