How to Create a Polaroid Photo Greeting Card

May 25, 2025 by Heather Holbrook

As scrapbookers we are always snapping photos to include on our layouts but we should also be sharing them in other ways with family and friends to cherish and remember. So let’s take those photos off the page and onto a personalized photo card that uses some of our scrapbooking products and techniques for a card everyone will treasure.

Laura used a brand new kit from Simon Says Stamp called “Capture Joy” that features stamps and die for creating our own retro inspired Polaroid pictures. She stamped and die cut the Polariod frames twice, adding stamped sentiments and tucking the photos behind. She created her own beautiful rainbow background for the card with thin strips of colored cardstocks. There’s also a heat embossed white sentiment die cut from teal paper too.

Watch her video tutorial over at the Simon Says Stamp blog.

Make a Sweet Summer Wallet Mini Album

Make a Sweet Summer Wallet Mini Album

This sweet mini album from Traci is perfect for summer time photos, using the Berry Sweet collection from Doodlebug it’s filled with yummy berries, pretty polka dots and cheery checks in summery colors of reds and greens. This album is a 6″x8″ wallet style design cut from white cardstock using a template from Lori Whitlock for the album base. Traci decorated the cover with a delicious cake, cute pattern papers and a puny sentiment.

Inside are some pockets for tucking in accents or tags, the flap pages fold out and there’s surprising a lot of room for lots of embellishing and adding many photos and journaling. This would also make a terrific recipe album too!
