Vicki created her own large luggage tag by rounding corners of travel pattern paper, stitching around the edge, creating a strap with buckle and adding acetate in front of the photo. With Summertime comes travel time for many of us. Whether you’re going a short road trip for the day or hopping on a plane to fly across the world there will be so many memories to scrap about. Start documenting your packing, the travel portion and of course the destination with lots of photos, tickets, maps and travel ephemera you picked up along the way. Today let’s look at some fresh ideas to scrapbook those travel days and vacation stays. 

This wonderful vacation layout has one large photo and space for 9 smaller photos with cool pattern paper layers and lots of travel sentiments including a stamped text background. I love the blue and orange color combo too! I spotted this layout at the Echo Park Instagram page.

Monique created an amazing stack of rainbow colored sentiments with die cut vacation word banners cut from pattern paper and backed in white so they really stand out. What better place to document your travels than in a Traveler’s Notebook? Taina used fun, fruity lemon and boat anchors paper for bright blue and yellow borders with one page for a title and lots of journaling and the other for a stack of photos. Find out more at the Coca Daisy blog.

Pocket pages are perfect for travel, they are easy to slip in photos, postcards and tickets, also include journaling cards for notes about your trip as well. Valeska created an amazing thatched roof affect by fringing printed grass roof pattern paper which adds wonderful depth and texture! There’s also loads of fun Tropical accents like rub-ons, chipboard shapes, die cuts and puffy stickers. Take a closer peek at the 49th and Market blog.

This cool travel layout from Cheryl focuses on one of those fun Instagramable murals you’ll find in so many cities. It’s such a fun place to stop for photos and tells everyone exactly where you were. Erin created a double page layout for her Scottish adventure with green map, blue wavy and dark woodgrain pattern papers for the background. There little travel accents scattered around, journaling on vellum and the stamped sheep are simply perfect! I came across her ideas on the Crafty Concepts with Erin Instagram page.

The deep blues and rich cream colors really pop on the white background of this lighthouse layout from Rebecca. Under her photo she tucked in nautical elements like a compass, lighthouse, seagulls, globe, shells and a chipboard title. Find all the details at the Scrap Paper Scissors blog.

Debbi’s stunning travel layout has loads of texture and depth with a stenciled brick background on textured cardstock, metal embellishments, wooden window, tied tag with twine and lots of thick acrylic accents and words. Find all the details at the Bramble Fox blog.
