Create an “Explosion” Scrapbook Layout

July 1, 2022 by Heather Holbrook

Create an "Explosion" Scrapbook Layout

I’ve made explosion boxes and exploding cards but I’ve not heard of an Explosion Scrapbook Layout until now. Carolyn used flip flaps, clear plastic pockets, from Close to My Heart to create her layout that has flaps that fold out all over the design to reveal extra photos and smaller layouts. This is amazing way to add an interactive element to your pages as well as give you more room for more photos.

Visit the Crop Candy blog to check out her how to process video.

Her covers are die cut scalloped pattern papers decorated with a cardstock border, scalloped white matt with a fussy cut gourd, leaves, gems and twine.

There’s so much space to included lots of photos and journaling on the front and back sides of this cute mini album project.

She sharing a video tutorial on how to make this, with handy tips on how to size the album to the cover dies you’d like to use, over on her Stamped Treasures blog.
