I know that Valentine’s Day is usually about candies and chocolates, but I confess that I am one of those moms who doesn’t think it’s a good idea to be handing tons of candy out to kids. So I love all the candy free ideas I am coming across for Valentine’s Day treats for your kids’ friends. This one is genius for the younger set: color by numbers! My 5 year old loves to do this, and so does Janel’s son, so she came up with these free printable color by numbers valentine treats to hand out. She gives clear instructions on how to print them out and sent them up for handing out.

Winter Woodland Shaker Mini Album Tutorial
Check out this stunning Winter Woodland Mini Scrapbook Album project from Kathy, it’s simply stunning! She used the Ciao Bella Winter Wonderland collection to create it. The album base is in a tag shape with an amazing shaker element on the front with a fox in a frosty scene filled with loads of blue and silver sequins. There’s also wooden snowflake, greenery sprigs, 3D flowers and silver charms on the cover and it’s all tied with a ribbon and button closure.
And the inside is just as jaw dropping with flaps, pocket pages, envelopes and more tags all in shades of wintery blues and white with woodland animals, forests, florals and homes for a rustic design.
And the final cherry on top is the wonderful layered winter pop out flap, a dimensional scene with a house, snowman, trees and book background.
She’s sharing more photos and a video tutorial for making this project over on the Kathy by Design blog.
