One of the things I am focusing on this month is getting my home office and scrap room de-cluttered and organized for the year ahead. I was happy to come across this post on the CreativeLive blog with suggestions for 14 ways you can get organized. If you only do scrapbooking or paper crafting, scroll down a bit to find applicable tips for sorting papers, tapes, ribbons and odds & ends. Generally, though it’s a great article on organization hacks, tips and tricks.  An organized craft room or craft space is generally a productive one too, so it is well worth investing your time to have a craft room makeover.

80’s Inspired Boombox Shaped Mini Album

I was a teen in the 80’s so this totally rad Boombox shaped mini album from Traci really speaks to me! She created a rectangle shaped black acrylic album with rounded corners, adding buttons and a handle on the top with a cover decorated to look like a real boombox with speakers, a tape deck, buttons and more. She used the Totally 80’s collection of products from Simple Stories that has lots of bright pink and teal colors with cool 80’s inspired patterns like black and white check and colorful graphics. There’s also load of fun embellishments like a Walkman, high top sneakers, retro TV, camera, hair spray can and more. 

I had huge hair in the 80’s and am embarrassed to admit how much Aquanet hair spray I used!

Traci has included her totally tubular signature flaps and pockets in the album too for some radical interactive elements too.
