There are several basic designs that can help you if you’re stuck for a layout idea, one of my favorites is a wreath. This style works best for larger single photos or a maybe a couple of smaller photos, adding a circle made up of what ever you like that works with your pictures, the wreath can be really simple or very detailed. This circular design helps draw the eye in and also helps fill up the page. So let’s take a look at some wonderful wreath layout ideas for Spring.

This lovely layout from Donna has chipboard elements like the sentiment, wreath and leaves mixed in with plenty of flowers and butterflies wrapping around the photo. I spotted this design on the creative embellishments Instagram page.
Instead of pattern paper these pretty florals were cut from wide Washi tape, the rest of the wreath was created with free hand doodling along with some small sentiment strips tucked in. Notice how she used a smaller round photo instead of a bigger one. I came across this idea on Anett Gelencser’s gallery at Scrapbook.com.
This wreath steps outside the box by using an embroidery hoop to encircle the photo, this one is printed on pattern paper but you could use a real one for a 3D effect. I like how Fiona used a square photo instead of round for extra interest! Learn more at the All About Scrapbooks blog.
This bright and cheerful page uses lots of banner flags in different sizes cut from coordinating pattern papers to create a big wow factor. I love all the added stitching, little pops of glitter and small butterflies flying around too! Take a closer look at the Allison Davis blog.
You don’t always have to use just one “wreath” you can add multiples like on this page from Erica, the effect is the same, drawing the eye to the photo in the center. She’s used printed circle paper for her layout, adding photos and embellishments in each one but you could also stamp circles onto paper too for a custom design. Wendy took advantage of the orange circle in the center of this pattern paper adding more attention to it by stitching circles over top for a unique wreath. Springtime showers always brings rainbows so why not create a rainbow wreath? Lilith made this one with loosely drawn circles and lots of colorful die cut stars using products from Altenew. I came across this idea on her gallery at Studio Calico.
This darling birthday girl layout features a wreath die made of hearts cut from white and backed with festive pink and purple pattern papers. Instead of one photo there’s a grid of four smaller pics and a fun sentiment in the middle of the wreath. I spotted this layout on the echoparkpaper Instagram page.
