As a card maker I love creating shaker cards, these interactive designs contain small items that move around inside a thick element with an acetate window. But as a scrapbooker I’ve not tried including one on a layout but that needs to change. Using these cool interactive items on a page add movement, color and a lot of fun! There’s many different way to create a shaker, with foam tape, thick open chipboard elements, stacks of dies that have open areas or flat shakers made with clear envelopes or ziplock bags. You can put any small items inside of them as long as there’s enough room for them to move. So today let’s look as some fun and inventive ways to include shaker elements on our scrapbook layouts for all occasions and seasons.

Below each photo you’ll find a link, click it for more info like products used, process videos and tips.
