Sheena used a trendy pink, teal and gold color combo on her tree decorating layout. She fussy cut the ornaments from foiled pattern paper and colored them with Distress Oxide Ink pads, filling the center of her layout with the baubles, using gold letters for the title. Christmas time is coming soon and one of my favorite things is decorating the tree, I love it so much we started putting up two trees. Be sure to document all the fun of the iconic Christmas tree by snapping photos going to pick or chop down the perfect tree, decorating it, standing around for family photos, putting presents underneath and of course sitting by the tree opening those presents on Christmas morning. You can create your own tree embellishments from simple triangles with stars on top. These trees were made from diagonal strips of pattern papers on triangles of green cardstock that coordinate with the rest of the embellishments from Creative Memories on the page. This fun pages features a large photo on half the design, on the other half is a block of typed journaling and a small grid of two photos and two accents. I love the mixed title that was created from chipboard and a sentiment strip! I spotted this idea on the scrappylikeafox Instagram page.

Heidi created her darling tree by cutting a tree shape from white cardstock and on the back layer she used an evergreen branch stamp in different colors of green inks decorating with sequins and fussy cut ornaments from pattern paper. Here’s another fun way to design your own custom tree, Kat used strips of pattern papers adding a star on top and block for the base. She embellished with stamped stars, swags and title. Notice how she tied it all together with more strips of papers along the edges. I came across this fun idea on the Elle’s Studio Instagram page.
This beautiful layout from Ann Sofie uses digital scrapbook for a vintage inspired design. The mixed media like background has lots of dimension with stitching and clusters of Holly with a postage stamp of Santa, plate with journaling, ribbon and evergreen bough. This stunning layout has so much texture and pattern with a large pattern circle for an ornament on the background and curved title around the circles edge. There’s also a clusters of die cut trees with layered embellishments and scatters of stars. I came across this idea at the Stampin’ Up Instagram page.
I love how Tena pulled the light blue from her daughters shirt and incorporated it into the color scheme of her layout! It’s a great tip to keep a design cohesive. Around the photos are die cut wreaths, holly, torn notebook edges and a fancy border die cut from the words pattern paper. I spotted this on her Tena E. gallery at Scrapbook.com.
These darling under the tree photos are surrounded by Winnie the Pooh themed tags and cards that have images of all our favorite characters and sweet sayings from a collection by Echo Park. These tall Traveler’s Notebook style pages from Marsha use a combination of digital images and stamping for a clean modern design. On one side is the photo at the table by the tree with typed journaling and simple corner embellishments and the other page is a winter village scene with lots of sentiments. Jill create an amazing tree for the background of her layout using fringed layers of green paper that get slightly larger going down.
