Everyone has a birthday, they come around once a year and we usually get together and celebrate with family and friends and snap lots of pictures of the festivities which makes it a no brainer to scrapbook about. We especially go all out for the kids in our lives on their birthdays so I thought today we’d take a look at some layout ideas for children and teens.

Large numbers are a terrific way to mark the year of the birthday like Nadine did here. She printed and cut out a large #7, cutting out the center and backing it with pattern paper. Squares might seem like a simple shape but there’s so much you can do with them. Karlla cut different pattern paper squares and stacked them up, turning some on their points for a fun layered background effect. Pastel colors are also a go to for little one’s birthdays. Neftali die cut a large “Happy Birthday” from white cardstock, adding different pretty papers behind each letter.
