Jayma’s layout has lots of cool layers with ruled paper, stenciled brick wall and stenciled ruler, a fun die cut backpack with lots of pattern papers tucked behind it as well as behind the photo. She’s sharing a process video on her Playing with Paper blog.
Nathalie’s page is very clean with a dark green border and frames with pops of red throughout. Her wide center border has several layers including one that looks like a real ruler, with clusters of embellishments on the border and next to the photos. The black and white photos really stand out against the colors. I spotted her idea on the Echo Park Paper Instagram page.
This lovely layout shows you don’t need school themed supplies or primary colors for Back to School. Paige used a rainbow of pastel pattern paper behind a large sunburst die cut from white. Each colorful section has words and embellishments that coordinate with that color along with inspiring sentiments for the new school year. Take a closer look at the Paige Taylor Evans blog.

This large die cut does the heavy lifting for you, with a space for a photo, a back to school sign and lots of shapes like an apple, globe and backpack that can backed with the paper of your choice. This amazing page from Aline is bursting with school supplies like a flap that looks like a Trapper Keeper (remember those?), looped ruler ribbon and lots of tiny handmade books to fill with photos and journaling. I came across her idea on the Simple Stories Instagram page.
Here’s another layout from Rebeca with photos that have a bit of a busy background, to combat that she placed them on a simple red dotted paper over white cardstock, with the title and journaling below and tags behind. The wide horizontal border has lots of fun elements though out with different pattern papers and clusters of elements. Visit the Bella Blvd blog for a closer look.
This darling page from Jael is full of sweet feminine touches like pinks and purple, lots of flowers and a stamped girl with paper pieced outfit and tiny backpack. I love the bottom border that looks like torn notebook edges and all the encouraging sentiments! I spotted this on her Jael Luvs2Create gallery at Scrapbook.com.
This amazing layout from Rebecca has lots of wonderful vintage inspiration. The black and white school photo is surrounded by die cut and fussy cut hexagons, many with great sayings, there’s also interesting elements like light bulbs, globe, bell, rub-ons on the background and a chipboard title.
