Kim’s thankful Autumn layout focuses on the color orange with photos of her granddaughters. It’s fun to choose a single color and use only papers and embellishments in that one color. I love her large mixed media pumpkin in the back! I spotted her idea on her Kim Jenkins Krafts Instagram page.
Here in the U.S. Thanksgiving is coming up soon and it’s a nice time to contemplate all the things we are thankful for in our lives. Think about creating scrapbook layouts that focus on what you appreciate, it can be whatever makes you grateful, from the little things to the big important stuff, include photos (of course), Fall images and colors, touching titles and meaningful journaling. Today let’s take a look at some inspiring layouts full of gratitude.
Below each photo you’ll see a link, click it for all the details like tutorials, products used and techniques.
Becki’s layout is so clever, she used strips of plaid pattern papers to create shelves on a striped green “wall” to place her photos and accessories like books, frames and folded scarves on. She used products from Simple Stories for her design and is sharing all the details at the Scrapbook and Cards Today blog.
Nicole drew attention to the grateful title on her page with a thick deep red acrylic sentiment. I love her custom wreath with twig base and loads of flora and fauna embellishments placed along half of the circle. Tiny specimen labels, little stars and sequins add some nice movement too. I came across her layout on the Color Cast Designs Instagram page.
Tai’s beautiful layout is filled with an Autumn harvest of fruit. The double page spread also has some plaid paper, a custom title made with die cut letters, striped chipboard frames and pretty ruffles of muslin fabric. Find a link to her process video at The Cherry on Top blog.
Patty’s lovely leafy layout has a wreath of Fall leaves cut from pattern paper with more for the border on a clean cream background. She included a few stamped sentiment around the black and white photo too. Take a closer peek at the My Creative Scrapbook blog.
Nicole’s fantastic pocket page has two photos, one with a pretty floral sentiment banner and two journaling cards, one with a thankful phrase and the other a cute squirrel, florals and trees on plaid paper. This is part of a larger album that you can view over on the Simple Stories blog.
Brianna used woodgrain hexagons to frame the photos of her kids on this sweet design. There’s a very vintage feel with black and white photos, rustic woodgrains, faded cursive writing and manilla tags. Puff stickers and chipboard elements add some nice dimension too. Find all the info at the 49th and Market blog.
Erin’s pretty design has lots of layers and movement. There’s rows of 3 wide fish tails on a woodgrain background with a die cut circle and some arrows too. The photo is matted with pattern paper and a heartfelt title. She included typed journaling on a stamped circle with stamped and wooden leaves tucked behind. I spotted her page on her Crafty Concepts with Erin Instagram page.
Nathalie’s Travelers Notebook pages are nature notebook inspired with lots of trendy mushrooms. She used several different types of products like washi sheets, rub-ons, stickers and stamping. Find all the details over at the Cocoa Daisy blog.
Traci’s layout will capture all her blessings in a fun grid pattern. With 4 rows of pattern paper squares there’s plenty of room for lots of small photos and journaling. I love the center border created with a turkey, lots of pumpkins, Fall leaves and flowers! Find more info at the Artsy Albums blog.
Noreen’s layout has a check list of what she’s grateful for on 2 clipboard shapes. The beautiful wreath that surrounds her photo is made up of punched leaves cut from lots of different vellum and shimmer papers. Notice all the grateful words printed on the background paper, it’s a subtle but meaningful touch. Take a closer look at the Creative Memories blog.
I hope you’ve been inspired to scrap about some of the people and things that you are most grateful for in your life!
