Jillibean Soup Projects

Earlier this month I wrote about JilliBean Soup, a new scrapbook manufacturer. Jill, the owner was kind enough to send me some of her products to play with. They don’t disappoint! I love them even more in person! Along with the papers and stickers I spoke about before, she also sent me some of her twill ribbon, felt flowers and journal cards (called journaling sprouts, too cute!). Right out of the gate I was able to make this layout and card in one session.

Everything on the page is from Jillibean Soup, except the number stickers.

Everything on the card is Jillibean Soup. Isn’t it all great? What I love about the products is that they are not thematic, so I can adapt them to suit any topic. Which perfectly suits my style of scrapping. In fact you can adapt it to any style!

Are you up for a challange? If life isnt challaneging enough then how about challenging yourself to a little

scrapbook contest at Scrapdragons. There are lot’s of prizes up for grabs and the challanges change regularly so if you are not feeling very creative one month you can simply pick up the next challenge instead.

Challenge #14 is currently underway with a theme of “Fools” for April fools day.

If you can use the word fool in your layout then you can enter this one, and no… a picture of your husband/spouse or brother who is a fool is NOT a valid entry.

Here is a great tutorial on making a valentines day scrapbook album.

Here is what you will need to complete the album

2 Brown Paper Lunch bags
4 sheets of 12×12 Patterned Scrapbook Paper (1 page per pattern)
1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11″ Red Cardstock
1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11″ White Cardstock
1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11″ Black Cardstock
1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11″ Silver Cardstock
Sheer White Ribbon (approx. 2.5 yards)
White Ribbon (approx. 2 yards)

Tip: Scrapbook Sharing

My friend Wendy and I were talking the other day about scrapbooking and she shared a great tip with me.

Her tip:

If I do ever have kids I’m going to make a complete page then copy it at Kinkos – or just make two prints of everything, but keep two albums – the family complete album, but then an album for each kid to give to them for their family memories when the get married, move away, whatever. I know finding my husband’s childhood pictures were an absolute treasure trove to me!

I think this is a wonderful tip that honestly hadn’t come to my mind before.Â Hope it will be as useful to you as it was to me!
